The Elves and the Shoemaker - Aimee

Long, long ago there lived a Shoemaker and his pretty wife. They lived in a small old village but they could not buy any food at all because they were too poor. One night the Shoemaker found the last of his leather and left it on the table where the counter was. Then he went to bed upstairs. In the morning the shoemaker went down to his workshop and on the bench was one pair of some amazing shoes. That day a rich lady came and saw the perfect pair and bough the shoes five gold coins. He got enough money for some food and enough leather to make four pairs of shoes. After he cut the leather for some more shoes, had dinner then went to bed. In the morning he went to his workshop and saw four pairs of perfect shoes on the table. They looked beautiful. That day a rich man came in and saw the four pairs and bought all four pairs of shoes for a gold price. Then it happened over and over again until one night the shoemaker said to his Wife some one is making shoe for as, so we should give them something. Let's see what they look like? That night they had dinner then they lit a candle and took it into the workshop and hid behind the table. There was someone at the door. Some elves came in. They went to the bench and started work. The next day the Wife said to the shoemaker we should give the elves some clothes. The Wife stated to make some caps and the shoemaker made some shoes. Then a couple of days later the Wife made some tiny socks and the shoemaker made some trousers and top. When they finished they wrapped up the presents and put them on the table. That day it was Christmas Eve. Then they hid behind the counter. Three seconds later two elves came sipping onto the table. When they got there, there was no leather on the table but they saw some presents wrapped up. They realized that the presents were for them. They ripped the wrapping paper off, took their old clothes off and put on the new ones and skipped out the door singing happily. The shoemaker found out that the elves would never come back but the shoemaker and his wife still were rich.
