The Elves and the Shoemaker - Logan
Once upon a time an old shoemaker and his wonderful wife lived in a cottage. They had no money. All they had was enough leather to make one pair of shoes. The shoemaker cut the leather out and went up to bed. When he woke he found a perfect pair of shiny shoes. The next day a rich lady came in and she gave the shoemaker 5 silver coins. They had enough money to buy some food and enough leather for two pairs of shoes. He cut out the leather and put it on his work bench. The next day he found two more pairs of shiny shoes. He wanted to find out who was making the shoes so he lit a candle and hid behind the work bench. Then two little elves raced in the door. They set to work. They hammered and nailed and they ran out the door again. Then they back the next night. The shoemaker said to his wife that they should make some clothes for the elves. They wrapped the clothes and waited. The elves rushed in the door. They saw the presents and unwrapped them. Then they put on the clothes and the shoes and ran happily away.
