The Elves and the Shoemaker - Baimon

Once upon a time there lived a poor shoemaker and his wife. They were so poor they didn’t have enough money to buy any food. That evening he found some leather. He cut the piece of leather out and put it on his work bench, then he went to bed. The next morning he looked on his work bench he saw one pair of fine shoes. He was really puzzled. Just then a rich lady came in. The shoemaker showed her the pair of shoes. The lady was impressed. She gave the shoemaker some silver coins. He went out and bought leather for two pairs of fine shoes. That evening he cut out the two pieces of leather and went to bed. The next morning he saw two pairs of fine shoes. A rich merchant came in that afternoon and he bought those shoes. It happened over and over again. So the shoemaker and his wife wondered if they could figure out who made those shiny shoes. He asked his wife if she could help. So she said what if we stay up really late and have a look so we can figure out who really made those pretty shoes. That night he and his wife hid behind the counter. Not long after that he saw two little elves running in the door. They started working then they polished the shoes until they shone into the moonlight. They ran out the door when they finished their work. That night he asked his wife if it would be good if they made some new clothes for the two little elves. The next morning the shoemaker’s wife started knitting some beautiful little clothes. The shoemaker started wrapping the presents. He put them on the bench. The night came at last. The two little elves ran in the door. They climbed up to the work bench. Instead of leather on the bench there was a pile of presents. They knew they were for them so they started opening the presents. When they saw the clothes and the shoes they were so happy that they took their ragged clothes off, put their new clothes on and skipped out the door. The shoemaker and his wife never ever saw the two tiny elves again but always thought of the two tiny elves.
